Tower
Our group designed a tower with a supportive base that gradually got thinner, until it was just one pencil crayon thick. Originally, our design was tipi style, with a pointy tower of pencil crayons that rested inside of the tipi. However, we changed the base to a triangular prism for a stronger base. With a larger surface area for the base, the hope was that we could create a strong and sturdy tower. Communication was essential in this challenge, because we were often changing our plans, and everyone needed to understand what the current idea was. Our final height was around 103cm, coming in 4th place. Although it was not the tallest tower, it had a more sturdy base than some of the other groups.
